At Newchurch Primary School we pride ourselves on our bespoke, holistic curriculum. Our aim is to develop pupils with a well-rounded view of the world around them, which allows them to shine in everything they do. This gallery is a small sample of some of the whole school activities, lessons and learning across our varied curriculum, from our new fledglings to our Key Stage 2 robins, which are ready to fly.

Please see other curriculum subjects and class pages for further examples of our wonderful curriculum.

Shiver Me Timbers!

What a great day we had when we all came to school dressed as pirates and worked on lots and lots of geographical skills.  Even one of the teachers from Culcheth High School came to join us - in fancy dress of course.  It was a great day and we learned so much!
The Great Newchurch Bake Off 2019

The 2019 Newchurch Bake Off was another amazing success. The cakes were only outdone by the wonderful support of our families. We crowned a Champion Baker and even donated some of the cakes to our friends at Holcroft Grange.
Anti Bullying Week

Anti-bullying Week 2016 began with a whole school assembly where Mrs Narraway introduced the children to the challenges of the week. The children showed how well they understand bullying in answering questions linked to what bullying is, how it affects others and what can be done about it.

Each class was given a series of tasks to complete along with whole school challenges, from creating a 'tree of kindness' (made up of the children's acts) to a chain as long as the school with positive comments we can share with others.

Classes then spent the week making anti bullying movies, developing enterprise projects and creating totem poles to celebrate Newchurch's positive stance against bullying.

Reading Picnic

How great it was to see so many parents and grandparents joining us for our annual Newchurch Reading Picnic.
Cycle to School Day

Despite the inclement weather, the children joined in with Cycle to School Day. There were a myriad of sizes and colours, stabilizers and helmets. It is great to see so many of our robins thinking about their health, the environment and how to keep safe. Year Five's Bike Right programme will be running in November too.
