- Social workers

- Postal workers

This list is an early indication and subject to change.

If you fall within one of these categories please email: with clear details including:

- year group

- your name

- your contact details including email address and mobile telephone number

- details of your role as a key worker and where is your place of work

We thank you for your ongoing support and patience as we work through the details and planning. We will continue to provide communication updates as soon as we can. ______________________________________________________________________________

18th March 2020

Dear parent/carer,

Following the announcement that all UK schools will now close at the end of the week, we are sure we will receive specific details and guidance from the local authority tomorrow morning which we will of course communicate to you as soon as we can.  We have been preparing for this possibility since last week.

As you are probably aware, there has been special consideration given to the children of key workers, whose parents are working on the frontline services dealing with the impact of the virus.  As yet we have no clarification as to what kind of keyworkers these are.  Once we know the detail, we will communicate to you so we can ensure provisions are made to support these families whilst they continue their work in these challenging times.

Please could we ask that you keep a close eye on your text messages over the next few days as we will be providing details about everything related to the closure and how to access home learning resources.  We will also be giving details of how you can communicate with the school during the closure.

In the meantime, if your child is likely to be absent tomorrow and/or Friday, please continue to report this to the school office in the normal way.

May we take this opportunity to extend gratitude to all our Newchurch families for their demonstration of our core values: Resilience, Respect, Responsibility, Resourcefulness, Reflectiveness and Reciprocity.

With kindest regards,

Mrs J Narraway

Head Teacher
