Residential Educational Visits

Residential Educational Visits

As well as the physical health benefits, school residential trips have been proven to have a positive effect on children's self esteem and confidence levels, thereby improving their emotional health and well being.

As part of our enrichment curriculum we provide three opportunities for the children to experience a residential educational visit in Years 2, 4 and 6 .

In order to support the children with their understand of economic wellbeing, each class organises and enterprise event whereby they raise funds which subsidises their residentials.  For example, children in Reception and Year One run an enterprise initiative which helps to subsidise their Year 2 residential and then in Year 2 and Year 3, they do enterprise to fund their Year 4 residential.  This continues throughout the school and then Year 6 do use their enterprise to leave a legacy by purchasing something for our new starter robins.

The residential visits are as follows:

Year Two Burwardsley Outdoor Education Centre (1 night and 2 days)
Year Four Kingswood (2 nights and 3 days)
Year Six  Arete (4 nights and 5 days)

Please find below details of the different residential visits the children attend.
